From Kanab things got interesting. Following the advice of "Mrs. Mac", our GPS, we headed up over the pass on Rt 14, about 40 miles down to Cedar City, where we'd stop for the day. It didn't take long as we climbed in altitude for snow to appear. And more snow and blowing snow. And this is real wilderness, so if you went into a snow bank it would be spring before somebody found you. White knuckle! By the time we got to the summit at 9600' it was pretty wild! And only 9 degrees! But then as we started down the other side it improved fairly quickly. We arrived in Cedar City to find them cleaning up from a snowstorm earlier in the day.
We stayed at a newish Comfort Inn with a brand new Golden Corral across the street. All kinds of new development at this intersection on I-15.
Many miles home tomorrow. Sounds like more snow. Maybe lunch at IKEA?
