Awoke to a light snow which had fallen over night. Cold - low 20s Weather report says to expect snow showers heading up the Salt lake Valley. It was clear all the way but still cold!
Note to self: Its too far to go from Cedar City to home - 600 miles. So we didn't. We stopped at a Hampton Inn in Tremonton. Its about 4 hours from here to home. Besides, we're retired so who cares?
We did stop at IKEA for lunch and a little shopping. As a result of a wrong turn leaving their parking lot, we discovered a new way to get around Salt lake City and avoid that horrible 5 lane 80mph traffic! From IKEA (and you could probably start even south of there) we headed north on Redwood Road which took us to I-215. Stayed on that road all the way to North Salt Lake City where it connected with I-84. Remember that route for the future!
